<p>This study aims to describe the implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based personalized learning to enhance the literacy and numeracy competencies of students at SDN Terrak 1 Pamekasan. Facing the challenges of diverse student abilities and the limitations of the classical teaching approach, AI offers a solution through an adaptive learning platform. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGD), and document analysis. The findings indicate that the AI platform significantly increases student motivation, marked by a shift from extrinsic motivation driven by gamification to intrinsic motivation stemming from a sense of mastery. The system successfully personalizes learning paths with precision according to each student's Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD). Consequently, the teacher's role transforms from an information deliverer to a data-informed facilitator who provides targeted interventions. Nevertheless, the implementation faces challenges such as technical infrastructure constraints, initial teacher resistance, and the potential for a digital divide. In conclusion, the success of AI-based personalized learning depends not only on the technology's sophistication but also on the overall readiness of the educational ecosystem, particularly sustainable teacher professional development and equitable policies.</p>Samsul ArifinTsurayya Kamila Novita

<p>This research is motivated by the researcher's interest in the efforts to build student character implemented at MTsN 3 Pamekasan. As the modern era develops, many cases occur and befall teenagers and students who violate community norms or rules in the environment and at Madrasah and this can be disturbing for parents, teachers, and the community. And it is necessary for the process or program to build student character so that more or less children can anticipate and even minimize actions that violate these rules and norms. In this case, character education needs to be applied to students, so that the character can contribute greatly in realizing the full potential and ideals of a person in building a good and beneficial life for themselves and others. Methodologically, this research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological type of research. The data collection techniques for this research include: observation, interviews and documentation through media, archival records. Test the validity of the data through careful re-checking and extending the research time, perseverance, observation, triangulation. The results of this study indicate that: First; the habit of exemplary behavior carried out in madrasas such as shaking hands with teachers of the same sex, reciting the Koran and praying together before the teaching and learning process begins, congregational prayers in each class alternately, the implementation of the SKIM book (Syarat Kecakapan Ibadah Mahdhoh), the Sakusiswa book as a form of student discipline and Friday afternoon preaching. Second; the results of the formation of good and excellent student character can be seen from the student achievements obtained and changes in student behavior and good deeds as well. Third; The supporting factors are providing role models, references, or student books, madrasa facilities and infrastructure and the community being a supporter of the formation of student character, complete facilities including fences if children are late coming to the madrasa, good cooperation between BK teachers, discipline enforcers, and the sincerity of teachers to educate and improve student behavior, and the holding of extracurricular activities such as scouts and pancake silat. The inhibiting factors in this study were caused by the community due to behavior carried out by the community such as falling into the realm of drugs, the limitations of the madrasa in reaching information, the very varied geographical location of students, the limitations of parents regarding the rules and regulations of the madrasa, and the lack of parental attention.</p>Megawati Fajrin

<p>Islamic boarding schools are traditional Islamic educational institutions for studying and practicing Islamic teachings by emphasizing the importance of religious knowledge and morals as guidelines for daily behavior. In Islamic boarding schools there are Kiai as leaders who have an important role in managing Islamic boarding schools, especially coaching in improving the quality and quantity of students. Of course, this is not easy, so there needs to be a strategy that Kiai has to implement to improve the quality and quantity of the students. Based on this, there are three problems that are the focus of discussion in this research, namely First, What is the Kiai’s Strategy for Improving the Quality and Quantity of Santri at the Miftahut Thullab Gedangan Islamic Boarding School? Second, what is the quality of the students at the Miftahut Thullab Gedangan Islamic Boarding School? Third, what is the quantity of students at the Miftahut Thullab Gedangan Islamic Boarding School?. The results of the research conducted show that: First, there are several strategies used by Kyai to improve the quality of santri, namely the strategy for dividing leadership tasks, the strategy for empowering asatid, the strategy for preparing programs for santri and the strategy for involving kiai in every activity. The Kiai’s strategies for increasing the quantity of santri are: Strategy for creating a forum for santri guardians, strategy for distributing santri, strategy for widening the wings of Islamic boarding schools in each village, strategy for social media and print media and collaboration strategy for book and general lessons. Second, there are several qualities of students that researchers found, namely, Intellectual Quality, Spiritual Quality, Quality of Skills and Knowledge obtained in accordance with Community Needs. Third, the strategy carried out by the Gedangan Islamic Boarding School Kiai affects the quantity of students from year to year, initially there were only a few students, after this strategy the quantity of students increased, because every year it increased by 80-90, while the number of students now in 2023 is the same as The researchers’ findings amounted to 695 students.</p>Moh. <p>Improving student achievement is an important indicator of school success, influenced by the principal’s leadership. This study aims to describe the principal’s managerial strategies to improve student achievement at SMAS Islam Hidayatut Thullab Robatal Sampang and examine their effectiveness. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach using a case study method. Data were collected through interviews with the principal, vice principal for curriculum, teachers, and high-achieving students, as well as observation and documentation. Data analysis used Miles and Huberman’s model: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results revealed that the principal implemented four main strategies: (1) data-based academic planning; (2) strengthening instructional supervision; (3) improving learning facilities; and (4) providing motivation and recognition for high-achieving students. <p style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0cm 42.55pt;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Garamond',serif;">The <em><span style="font-family: 'Garamond',serif;">Merdeka Belajar</span></em> Curriculum is an educational policy innovation launched to address post-pandemic learning challenges and to promote the strengthening of students' character and competencies. SMPN 2 Torjun is one of the educational institutions that began implementing this curriculum in the 2023 academic year. This study was conducted to explore how the optimization of planning, implementation, and evaluation of the <em><span style="font-family: 'Garamond',serif;">Merdeka</span></em> Curriculum contributes to improving the quality of learning at the school. The method used was a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection techniques included interviews, observation, and documentation, while data analysis employed Miles & Huberman’s interactive analysis model with source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that: (First) the planning of the <em><span style="font-family: 'Garamond',serif;">Merdeka</span></em> Curriculum at SMPN 2 Torjun was carried out collaboratively by involving the principal, teachers, school committee, and the Department of Education. The category chosen for implementation was <em><span style="font-family: 'Garamond',serif;">Mandiri Berubah</span></em> (Independent Transition). (Second) the curriculum implementation was effective through student-centered learning strategies and the integration of the <em><span style="font-family: 'Garamond',serif;">Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila</span></em> (P5) as a means of character development. (Third) evaluation was conducted regularly through official meetings, principal supervision, and external oversight, with the aim of continuous improvement. <p>The school committee is an institution that plays a vital role in increasing the responsibility and role of the community in decision-making at school, as a provider of consideration in the implementation of educational policies, as a supporter, and as a controller. Therefore, the school committee needs to be empowered to be more effective in carrying out its duties and functions. This thesis discusses the role of the principal in empowering the school committee at SMK Al-Asy'ari Komis Kedungdung Sampang. There are three research focuses that are the main study in this study: First, What is the role of the principal in empowering the school committee at SMK Al-Asy'ari Komis? Second, How does the principal manage the empowerment of the school committee at SMK Al-Asy'ari Komis? Third, What are the obstacles faced by the principal in empowering the school committee at SMK Al-Asy'ari Komis? This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data sources were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that: the principal's role in empowering the school committee at SMK Al-Asy'ari Komis uses a participatory approach, also involving alumni, guardians, committee administrators, and the Islamic boarding school in all stages of the program. Monthly forums are used for communication and collaborative problem-solving with community input, so that the program belongs to all parties involved. The principal's management of the school committee empowerment at SMK Al-Asy'ari Komis is aspirational, but direct communication remains a barrier. The principal of SMK Al-Asy'ari Komis in empowering the school committee is the lack of activity of children who live far from their parents. <p>One of the skills desired by students is speaking skills in Arabic. In 2023, MIS Tanwirul Islama II Sampang students' Arabic speaking skills were quite low, because when learning Arabic, especially speaking skills, teachers did not use interesting and effective models, media, and strategies, so that students when learning Arabic were less interested in speaking Arabic. This year, MIS Tanwirul Islam II teachers tried to use an Arabic learning model that attracted students' interest in speaking Arabic by using the Cooperative Learning learning model. The type of research is a qualitative case study approach. In this study, data collection was also carried out by means of observation, interviews with the principal, teachers, and students of the madrasah, as well as conducting documentation at the MIS Tanwirul Islam II madrasah. The results of this study, with the implementation of the cooperative learning model, students learned to speak Arabic in groups so that there was an increase in speaking skills, this was proven by the enthusiasm of students when taking lessons, in addition, students' Arabic speaking skills were also getting better compared to previous years.</p> <p> </p>Moh.
