FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI WALI SANTRI DALAM MEMILIH PONDOK PESANTREN (ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOL)

Abstract

Abstrak: Di Indonesia terdapat ribuan Islamic Boarding School yang dapat dipilih sebagai tempat pendidikan santri agar dapat menjadi generasi yang berakhlakul karimah. Berbagai faktor menjadi pertimbangan bagi wali santri untuk menyekolahkan anaknya di pondok pesantren. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi orang tua dalam memilih Islamic Boarding School (IBS) untuk Pendidikan putra-putrinya. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode kuantitatif melalui pengumpulan data dengan cara survei. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor yang melatarbelakangi pemilihan IBS oleh wali santri antara lain: kurikulum, prestasi sekolah, nama besar sekolah pengasuh pondok pesantren, biaya pendidikan, kualitas asatidz, dan lingkungan eksternal yang agamis. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai acuan bagi pengembangan pondok pesantren agar dapat memenuhi harapan para wali santri.   Kata Kunci: Faktor yang mempengaruhi, pemilihan, pondok pesantren     Abstract: In Indonesia, thousands of Islamic Boarding Schools can be selected as places of education for students to become a generation with good morals. Various factors are considered for guardians of students to send their children to Islamic boarding schools. This study aims to identify the factors that influence parents in selecting Islamic Boarding Schools (IBS) for their children's education. The research was conducted using quantitative methods through data collection through surveys. The study results indicate that the factors behind the selection of IBS by the guardians of students include: curriculum, school achievement, the big name of the boarding school caregiver, the cost of education, the quality of asatidz, and an external religious environment. The study results can be used as a reference for the development of Islamic boarding schools to meet the expectations of the guardians of students.   Keywords: factor affecting, selecting, Islamic Boarding Schools
