Konsep Pendidikan Karakter Muhammad Iqbal dan Relevansinya Dalam Pembentukan Karakter Peserta Didik di Era Globalisasi
AbstractAbstract: The socio-cultural situation of society in the era of globalization has been increasingly worrying lately. Various kinds of events that undermine human dignity and develop in society even in the world of education, such as the destruction of moral values, widespread injustice, thin solidarity, increased juvenile delinquency, increasingly sophisticated and massive corruption practices, criminal acts, unethical attitudes towards teachers and various other cases of moral decadence. This phenomenon seems to question the role of education in building the ethics and morals of society. To face the era of globalization, it takes a strong and responsible person, and a high motivation to achieve goals. A student who is still in a period of rapid development physically and the mind is easily influenced by various things, both positive and negative. Therefore, an educator must equip students with character education with real examples and habituation. The results of character education habituation become the grip of students in facing a challenging future and many changes. Seeing the conditions of many students in Indonesia who are affected by technology and experiencing a moral crisis make various groups to pay attention and rescue in various ways and methods. Muhammad Iqbal offers character education to save and prevent students from moral crisis through character building in the form of example, developing the potential of students and fostering tolerance.
