Pendekatan Qurais Shihab Dalam Tafsir al-Misbah

Abstract

With various methods, the experts of the Qur'an try to present the content and messages of the word of Allah SWT. There are those who present these messages based on the periodization of the verse sequence as found in the Mushaf. In addition there are also those who present the contents of the Koran by choosing a particular topic or theme and then collecting verses from the Koran relating to the topic or theme. This second model is known as the Maudhui method. M. Quraish Shihab is an expert on the Homeland Quran, where his works use many methods of maudu'i and tahlili, say Tafsir Al Mishbah for example. In the interpretation of Al Mishbah, M. Quraish Shihab tries to present the message of the Qur'an through the method of the tahlili by explaining the verses per verse based on the order in the Mushaf. M. Quraish Shihab is not the only Qur'anic expert in Indonesia. But the descriptions outlined in the interpretation of al Mishbah give a distinctive aroma, the language is straightforward, as well as logical, so that it is easily understood by all circles. Thus the Interpretation of Al Mishbah can be used as a reference in an effort to ground the Qur'an in Indonesia.
