Abstract

In this era of modern civilization Islamic education faces various kinds of challenges in the living world. Islamic education occupies the most important position in the face of globalization, because globalization brings both good and bad influences in the life of Islamic education. Islamic education seeks to rebuild the values ​​of good which are now beginning to fade due to globalization. Transforming Islamic education can improve the quality of quality human resources by holding fast to the Qur'an and Hadith as a source of teachings for Muslims. This article aims that Islamic education can transform well in modern civilization. Islamic education must always keep up with the times, if not then it will stagnate and not experience the development and inhibition of Islamic intellectuals. Therefore, Islamic education is able to position itself by holding back global currents and being selective towards all developments in this era of modern civilization.
