AbstractThis study aims to describe the mandate of the Elementary School Islamic Religious Education Teacher Working Group in order to improve the professional competence of PAI elementary school teachers in Nguling District, Pasuruan Regency. This type of research is a field follow-up research. In this study, it was found that efforts to improve the professional competence of PAI elementary school teachers can be seen from several aspects, including educational qualifications, the ability to use teaching aids, the ability to carry out learning evaluations and the ability to communicate. The next role of the PAI KKG in SD Nguling, Pasuruan Regency is as a place to increase creativity and teacher skills. other supporting factors, namely teaching experience, environment, discipline, KKG PAI SD coaches and support from school principals. The inhibiting factors include the lack of facilities and infrastructure, teachers who do not master technology, the limited time allocation for Islamic Religious Education subjects, and the educational curriculum that often changes.
