PEMBAHARUAN EPISTEMOLOGI FIQH ISLAM LIBERAL

Abstract

The paper is trying to discuss the renewal of scientific epistemology fiqh according to liberal Islamic thought. Liberal Islamic fiqh classic rate already irrelevant and an old-fashioned. The question of epistemology is to nurture their review using principles and the scientific method. They try to deconstruct the paradigm of traditional fiqh with the principles of the philosophy of modernism and posmodernisme West to form the fiqh that are relevant and applicable in a wide range of issues of Muslims. But they are stuck in that tend to simplify the universalism of human history into one line and a single model as the Western paradigm. Consequently the idea of renewing their not so influential fiqh in majority Muslims are still influenced by the characteristics of the identity of the madhab and religiusitasnya. Epistemology or the renewal of Islamic law truly needs to be done and adapted without having to reduce the sources of qat'i, so that community life has always evolved.
