PENGUATAN NASIONALISME MELALUI PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM

Abstract

Islam very supports nationalism of the nation. It can be inspiration and motivation for the development of the nation with the ideology of Pancasila, instead of playing a disintegrative counter-ideology. Conflict in the name of religion that is currently common in Indonesia not because of the teachings of Islam. That's more because the adherents who understand the religious texts are half-way or less comprehensive. In this case Islamic Education has a hard task to make people aware. He is expected to avoid the following: 1. Cultivate the spirit of blind fanaticism. 2. Growing an intolerant attitude among learners and Indonesian society and. 3. To weaken the harmony of religious life as well as national unity and unity. This study aims to find out about nationalism in Islamic Religion, as well as the role of Islamic education in strengthening the spirit of nationalism of the Indonesian Nation and the proper relationship between nationalism and religion.
