IMPLEMENTASI PEMBERIAN REWARD DAN PUNISHMENT DALAM MENINGKATKAN SEMANGAT SANTRI MENGHAFAL AL-QUR'AN

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of conducting this research is (1) to find out how the students' memorization of the Al-Qur'an has developed (2) To identify the impact of giving rewards and punishments in improving the students' memorization of the Al-Qur'an; (3) To find out the obstacles and solutions on providing Rewards and Punishments in improving students' memorization of the Al-Qur'an. The research used is a qualitative approach. This type of research is a case study. Techniques for collecting data using observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques include Data Collection, Data Reduction, Data Display and Verification. The results of this research conclude that: (1) previous developments have still not resulted in an increase in memorization. Because students cannot be disciplined by participating in tahfidz learning. given rewards and punishments for students in memorizing to develop and increase their activity and istiqomah in memorizing; (2) the impact of giving Rewards and Punishments in increasing students' memorization of the Al-Quran, students become more active and enthusiastic in participating in tahfidz and memorization learning; (3) an obstacle was found that students often underestimate the gifts given which are not in accordance with what they want. Even the punishments given make the students feel bored and fed up so the students don't carry them out. So a solution is needed to overcome this by providing students with an understanding of the essence of giving rewards and punishment.
