PERAN BANK SYARIAH DALAM MENDUKUNG EKONOMI HALAL DI INDONESIA
Abstract
The development of the halal economy in Indonesia is increasingly rapid, along with increasing public awareness of the importance of transactions that comply with sharia principles. This research aims to analyze the role of sharia banks in supporting the development of the halal economy in Indonesia. The method used is a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis, which collects data through literature studies, interviews with industry practitioners, and observations of policies implemented by sharia banks. The research results show that Islamic banks play an important role in supporting the halal economy, both through sharia-based business financing, developing halal products, as well as contributing to halal industrial sectors such as food, fashion and tourism. Apart from that, sharia banks also play a role in providing education to the public regarding sharia products and services that can support halal economic growth in Indonesia. In conclusion, Islamic banks have a strategic role in strengthening the halal economic ecosystem, and need to continue to innovate and increase cooperation with various sectors to encourage sustainable economic growth.
