Abstrak

Morals are important for human life, it becomes a marker that someone is worthy or not worthy to be called a human being, moral education is a necessity. Morals are the basic foundation of a character. So that individuals who have good morals will later become part of a good society. Morals in Islam also have absolute value because the perception between good and bad morals has a value that can be applied to any condition. Of course, this is in accordance with human nature which places morals as the guardian of human existence as the most noble creature. It is morality that distinguishes human character from other creatures. Without morals, humans will lose their status as the most honorable servants of Allah. Moral education has a very basic urgency in the welfare of life in this world and the hereafter. Moral education also has a vital role to raise people from depravity of behavior towards an Islamic society. In fact, almost all problems of life, both at the individual, family and community levels arise because of the lack of morals possessed by humans today. The discussion of morality does not deserve to be used as a side discussion or a complementary discussion so that it is positioned in the second position, let alone the final serial number. Morals are also not a complementary trait to the good qualities of a human being which if neglected will not damage the rules of life. Morals are the core of the personality of a Muslim and the personality of the people, so they must be the foundation for human life. The main purpose of Islamic education is to form human beings who believe and submit themselves completely to Allah swt. In addition, character and moral education is the soul and purpose of Islamic education.
