Abstract

Abstract

Curriculum is defined as a set of educational programs that guide teaching and learning activities. Therefore, the curriculum needs to be further developed in line with the times. Curriculum development aims to adapt existing curricula to innovation based on student needs. These efforts aim to improve the quality of basic Islamic education in order to achieve optimal educational goals. The concept of Islamic basic education is an attempt to shape a child's personality based on Islamic teachings, i.e. thoughts, decisions and actions that reflect Islamic values in disruption era. Curriculum development must be supported by the competence and quality of the head of the madrasah as the head of the institution. The head of the madrasah plays a key role in steering the wheel of education under his administration and is involved in the development of the Islamic educational curriculum. In addition, teachers also play an important role in implementing the curriculum in the classroom.
