PERAN INTEGRAL MASJID KAMPUS DALAM PENGEMBANGAN ISLAM DI PERGURUAN TINGGI
Abstract
This research presents an analysis of the integral role of campus mosques in the development of Islam in higher education, with a focus on dimensions as places of worship, centers of religious education, and motors for community empowerment. The literature study method is used to collect, analyze and synthesize literature discussing the multifaceted functions of campus mosques. First, as a place of worship, the campus mosque helps maintain students' spiritual balance through religious activities such as prayer and other services. Second, in the educational dimension, the campus mosque becomes a center for religious learning through regular studies, lectures and seminars, deepening students' understanding of Islamic teachings. Third, in the context of community empowerment, campus mosques are pioneers of various charity programs and empowerment projects, creating social awareness and responsibility among students. The results of this research illustrate that the campus mosque is not just a place of worship, but an integral entity that unites spiritual, intellectual and social dimensions to form students as agents of change based on Islamic values ​​in higher education.
