PENDIDIKAN ISLAM DAN PEWACANAAN KESETARAAN GENDER

Abstract

This article studies Islamic education and gender equality issues. This article tries to answer the relation of gender equality issue in the society among ideal, fact and role of Islamic education which is expected to change negative mainstream about gender equality in the society. This research explains two primary things,Islamic education and gender equality issues, holistically and comprehensively. The main part is to lose negative images from gender equality. The research design is qualitative with library research. The result of this research starts from simple to complex ones. The datas are collected and analized based on daily phenomenon. This article also used questions impartially. Those are taken from a number of sources and references. So that, this article can find a brief and strong conclusion. The result of the study and analysis shows that Islamic education should have capability to be the way to conduct social change and social mobility. The intention to change must regardless be started from awakening people about gender equality that can be reached with educating.
