Abstract

Innovation is a process to renew. It brings a change in situation and condition adjustment. Islamic education is a process to prepare young generation in forming individual to carry out a life as khalifah and fulfill a life goal effectively and efficiency based on Islam sources such as al-Qur’an, al-hadits and ijtihad. Islam education innovation is a demand of Islamic education needs at present. Looking at the backwardness and underdevelopment of Muslim nowadays, the core of Islamic education innovation are to struggle to leave old thought which is not appropriate with future oriented and try to reach supporting aspects to adjust themselves to future oriented. Islamic education is actually about balanced between worldly lives and hereafter, balanced between revealed knowledge and acquired knowledge, balanced between iman taqwa and science technology, so it brings spiritual and material prosperity.
