PENGEMBANGAN PROFESIONALISME GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM
Abstract
Professional teachers are teachers who prioritize service and product quality, they have to meet the standardization of community need, nation and users and maximizing the students ability based on their potential. All professional teachers must have four competencies namely pedagogy, professional, personal and social. For religious techers they should also have leadership competency. Religious teachers in conducting their tasks have to prepare everything relate to their field such as knowledge and skills. Besides, they are required to implement what they have taught, they are proper to be imitated and willing to impart their Islamic knowledge to others, then they have to be model for their students and local communities. The distinction of religious teachers among other teachers is they have to hold five things, they are commitment to their students and learning process, mastering their material in-depth, implement them consistenly, monitoring students learning out comes through various evaluation techniques, they should be able to think sistematically what have been done and responsible to their behaviour. The last, religious teachers should be part of the learning society within the profession. When all the five points can be done well, they will generate students who qurrata a’yun and imam lil muttaqin.
