PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN SYMBOLIC CHESSBOARD UNTUK MENSTIMULASI KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR SIMBOLIK ANAK USIA 4-5 TAHUN
Abstract
This study was conducted by researchers to find out the problems in institutions related to symbolic thinking skills in children aged 4-5 years in the learning process of recognizing shapes and colors, recognizing many and few. The development of this symbolic chessboard media aims to stimulate the symbolic thinking ability of children aged 4-5 years. This type of research is development or R&D (Research and Development) using the ADDIE model, namely, Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The trial in this study is divided into two, namely expert trials which include media experts and material experts, Implementation is carried out in two ways, namely small group trials and field trials at Dharma Wanita Persatuan Sumberagung III Kindergarten. The data collection method used is using feasibility sheets and observation sheets while the data analysis technique uses feasibility analysis and observation sheets. The results of the assessment of the feasibility of media conducted by media experts obtained a percentage of 97% with the criteria "Very Feasible", the assessment by material experts obtained a percentage of 94% with the criteria "Very Feasible". The results showed that the symbolic chessboard media is very feasible to use to stimulate the symbolic thinking ability of children aged 4-5 years.
