Implementasi Sistem Informasi Untuk Meningkatkan Efektivitas Manajemen Sekolah SMA Negeri 2 Karawang
Abstract
Information systems are a major factor in efforts to improve the
effectiveness of school management. This study aims to describe the implementation of
school information systems in improving the effectiveness of school management; to
describe the challenges faced in implementing school management information
systems in improving the quality of educational services. To describe efforts made to
overcome obstacles in the implementation of school management information systems
in improving the quality of educational services. The research used is descriptive with a
qualitative approach. The location of this research was conducted at SMA Negeri 2
Karawang, the informants of this study were teachers who were authorized as public
relations. The results of the study showed: that seen from the aspects of input, process
and output can support the implementation of information systems in improving the
effectiveness of school management at SMA Negeri 2 Karawang. In terms of HR
knowledge, HR goals and priorities, availability of students, school management
support, the existence of structures and schedules, implementation of content and
educator capabilities, all are carried out for the management of teacher data, student
data, infrastructure data, data on payment of educational participant fees, attendance
system. The obstacles faced in implementing the school information management
system are: hardware that needs to be upgraded in capacity and keep up with the
times and must always be upgraded every year so that it requires special costs,
routinely holding special training for human resources (HR) through training
activities, work experience, and managerial skills so that educators and education
personnel really have responsibility for the operation of information technology.
