Abstract

The implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in Islamic education aims to improve the overall quality of education, both academically and in terms of student character. TQM, which focuses on continuous improvement, human resource empowerment, and data-driven decision-making, can be adapted in the context of Islamic education to achieve more holistic goals. However, its implementation faces several challenges, such as resistance to change, lack of understanding of TQM principles, resource limitations, and organizational culture challenges that tend to be traditional. To overcome these challenges, Islamic educational institutions need to conduct intensive socialization and training, manage resources efficiently, and create an organizational culture that supports participation and collaboration. The integration of TQM principles and Islamic values is crucial to ensure that the implementation of TQM not only focuses on technical aspects but also on the formation of students' character in line with noble moral values. With proper TQM implementation, Islamic education can produce a generation that excels not only academically but also possesses character and morals in accordance with Islamic teachings.
