Abstract

This research aims to increase self-confidence through the Sundanese-based Montessori culture area for children aged 5-6 years at Little Star Montessori Kindergarten Karawang. The Montessori cultural area based on Sundanese culture can help children understand indicators of self-confidence and help teachers teach and increase children's self-confidence through various activities that are fun and interesting for children. The method used is classroom action using the Kemmis and Taggart model with four components: 1) planning, 2) action, observation, 4) reflection. In this model, after reflection is carried out, it is followed by re-planning or revision of the previous cycle. The results of the research are in the form of increasing the self- confidence of children aged 5-6 years at the Little Star Montessori Kindergarten in Karawang with enthusiasm in carrying out varied and interesting activities by knowing the various activities that can be carried out in the Montessori Cultural Area based on Sundanese culture, various Types of Sundanese cultural traditions and typical characteristics of the culture
