Peran Mahkamah Konstitusi dalam Menjaga Keseimbangan Kekuasaan: Analisis terhadap Putusan MK tentang Batas Usia Capres dan Cawapres

This research discusses the role of the Constitutional Court (MK) in maintaining the balance of power through an analysis of Constitutional Court Decision No. 90/PUU-XXI/2023 regarding the minimum age requirement for presidential and vice-presidential candidates. The study employs a qualitative approach using the library research method, drawing from legal documents, scholarly literature, and relevant constitutional sources. The findings indicate that the Constitutional Court holds a strategic position as the guardian of the constitution, ensuring the implementation of the checks and balances principle within Indonesia’s constitutional system. However, in the context of this decision, the Court is viewed as having extended its authority beyond the legislative domain. The ruling sparked debates over judicial independence and its implications for democracy. Therefore, the Court must uphold integrity, transparency, and accountability to remain a neutral, authoritative institution devoted to constitutional justice.

Profetik Leadership Perspektif Imam As-Suyuti Dalam Tafsir Al-durru Al-mantsur Fi Al-tafsiri Bi Al-Ma’sur

Humans are God's most perfect creation, endowed with reason. Therefore, humans bear the burden of being khalifah fil ardh (vicegerent) on earth. Humans have a role as a leader on earth. To be a good leader, humans must have attitudes as exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad in his personality, known as prophetic leadership. Prophetic attitudes are explained in many verses of the Quran to serve as role models for humans in living their lives. Prophetic leadership is a guide for leaders in government, education, and families. At least four attitudes must be possessed: trustworthiness, sidiq (trustworthiness), tabligh (prophetic conduct), and fathonah (faithfulness). All of these are contained in the Quran. To understand the verses of the Quran, interpretation is necessary. One interesting book of interpretation to discuss is Tafsir Ad-durr Al-mantsur fi al-atfsiri bi Al-Ma'sur, written by Imam Jalaluddin As-Suuyuti. This interpretation interprets verses based on hadith narrations.

Strategi Guru Qira’atul Kutub Dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa Melalui Pembelajaran Kitab Taqrib Di MTs Al-Anwar Sarang

This study aims to describe the strategies of Qira'atul Kutub teachers in improving students' critical thinking skills through Taqrib learning at MTs Al-Anwar Sarang. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive field research. The research subjects included the principal, Qira'atul Kutub teachers, and ninth-grade B students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and literature review, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman (1994). The results showed that teachers implemented two main methods: the classical Sarang method and the Madurese al-Asa method, which synergistically fostered students' analytical, reflective, and argumentative thinking skills. Teacher strategies, including text guidance, reflective discussions, and comparative analysis assignments, proved effective in improving students' critical thinking and active participation. This research confirms that the integration of traditional and modern approaches in the teaching of yellow books plays a significant role in the development of higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) in Islamic educational environments.

Legal Certainty Regarding the Authority to Destroy Evidence of Narcotics Abuse Crimes

The destruction of evidence in narcotics abuse crimes is a crucial stage in law enforcement, as it eliminates the object of the crime while ensuring legal certainty and preventing irregularities. However, in practice, various issues remain that raise academic concerns, particularly related to procedural irregularities, weak coordination among law enforcement officials, and a lack of transparency in the evidence destruction process. This study aims to examine the mechanisms and implementation of narcotics evidence destruction based on positive legal provisions and to analyze the extent to which law enforcement officials apply the principle of legal certainty. This study uses an empirical juridical approach through an analysis of laws and regulations governing the destruction of narcotics evidence, and is supported by field data through interviews and case studies at relevant law enforcement agencies. The results show that although regulations clearly outline the destruction mechanism, its implementation remains inconsistent. Procedural differences between regions, delays in implementation, a lack of accountability documentation, and weak coordination between the police, prosecutors, and related institutions were found. Technical facility constraints also hamper the oversight and effectiveness of the destruction process. This study concludes that there is a need for technical and administrative improvements, increased integrity, and transparency of law enforcement officers so that the process of destroying narcotics evidence runs according to the principle of legal certainty.
