Studi Pemikiran Abdurrahman Mas’ud Tentang Pendidikan Islam Berbasis Humanisme Religius

Abstract

 In this article it shows that: (1) Religious humanism is a religious perspective that places humans as human beings and effort to humanize the sciences with full faith accompanied by human relations with Allah SWT and fellow humans or hablun min Allah and hablun min al- nas. Implementation in Islamic education emphasizes aspects of common sense, individualism towards independence, enthusiasm for seeking knowledge, pluralism education, more emphasis on functions than symbols, and a balance between giving rewards and punishments. (2) In the context of contemporary Islamic education, Islamic education must be oriented towards non-nicotomic education. By not separating the two dimensions of science namely religion and general science. Islamic education institutions not only teach religion but also teach general sciences (science and technology). In this case, Islamic (high) educational institutions such as the State Islamic University (UIN) are one form of implementation of non-nicotomic Islamic education.
