Abstract

A scientific approach is a learning process that is designed so that students actively construct concepts, laws and principles through stages of observing (to identify or find problems), formulate problems, propose or formulate hypotheses, collect data with various techniques, analyze data, draw conclusions and communicate concepts, laws or principles that are "found" In scientific learning is expected to create learning conditions that encourage students to find out information from various sources through observation, and not just told. Learning that involves a scientific approach will involve process skills, such as the observation activities or observations needed for the submission of hypotheses or data collection. According to Sani the scientific method is generally based on the exposure of data obtained through observation or experiments. Therefore, the experiment can be replaced with the activity of obtaining information from various sources. In carrying out these activities, teacher assistance or guidance is still needed.
