Abstract

Madrasah diniyah is a non-formal educational institution that focuses on the field of Islamic religious education with the aim of being an alternative choice for the community in order to gain knowledge about Islam outside formal educational institutions. In general, the children in Sambongrejo village themselves lack an understanding of Islam, which is exacerbated by their parents, who mostly send them to public schools, which of course focus on studying more general content and very minimal content about Islam. The existence of the diniyah al-khoiriyah madrasa in the village of Sambongrejo is expected to be an alternative choice for the community in terms of Islamic religious education. The purpose of this study was to determine the process of teaching and learning activities for Islamic religious education at Madrasah diniyah al-Khoiriyah and to find out the motivation of the Sambongrejo village community to receive Islamic religious education at Madrasah diniyah al-Khoiriyah. This study uses a qualitative descriptive using the sociology of religion. Collecting data using observation, documentation and interview techniques, the data collected is then analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques. This study resulted in the fact that the implementation of teaching and learning activities at Madrasah diniyah al-Khoiriyah not only studied reading and writing the Qur'an but also studied salafi books that discussed Islamic teachings. The learning system applied at Madrasah diniyah al-Khoiriyah is the classical system divided into 2 classes. In terms of interest, Madrasah diniyah al-Khoiriyah is the madin that is most in demand, apart from the founding factor which is a kyai who has been considered in the scope of Sambongrejo village as well as other factors ranging from well-organized management, also because the existing facilities are also quite complete and comfortable
