Pendekatan Tafsir Tarbawi Dalam Membangun Paradigma Pendidikan Islam Humanis Dan Transformatif

Abstract

The tarbawi tafsir approach is a method of Qur’anic interpretation that emphasizes educational values as the foundation for the development of Islamic education. This article aims to examine the role of the tarbawi tafsir approach in constructing a humanistic and transformative paradigm of Islamic education amid contemporary social dynamics and global challenges. Humanistic Islamic education is understood as an educational orientation that places human beings as the main subjects of learning, respects their innate potential (fitrah), and promotes values of humanity, justice, and compassion. Meanwhile, the transformative paradigm highlights education as a means of social change oriented toward liberation, empowerment, and the development of learners’ critical consciousness.            This study employs a library research method by analyzing primary and secondary sources, including classical and contemporary Qur’anic exegeses, books on Islamic education, and relevant scholarly articles. The findings indicate that the tarbawi tafsir approach provides an integrative conceptual framework that connects Qur’anic values with educational practice, enabling Islamic education to go beyond the mere transmission of religious knowledge toward character building, social awareness, and moral responsibility. Therefore, the tarbawi tafsir approach makes a significant contribution to the formulation of a contextual, humanistic, and transformative paradigm of Islamic education that remains firmly rooted in Islamic values while responding to the demands of the contemporary era.
