PENDIDIKAN GENDER DALAM KELUARGA: TELAAH TERHADAP HADIS-HADIS TENTANG RELASI LAKI-LAKI DAN PEREMPUAN DALAM KELUARGA

Abstract

Education is one of the important ways to construct a gender equality based paradigm in a society. In its implementation, education in a family scope basically takes a fundamental part in establishing the paradigm in a society. However, religious texts that are cosidered as basic references for constructing family education based on gender justice often generate understanding of the contrary. Misogynic hadiths, for example, seem to be seen as unjust texts concerning the relation between men and woman in family. Therefore, a reinterpretation of such texts is absolutely needed. This constitutes an effort to find the contextual understanding based on gender equality. It may lead, then, to create the equal relation among family members in terms of their roles and functions. Finally, it might be helpful to bear the gender equality paradigm in a society.
