INTEGRATION OF ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION CURRICULUM BASED ON BOARDING SCHOOLS IN VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOLS

Abstract

Educational institutions such as Vocational Schools are required not only to prepare students who guarantee graduates are competent and ready to work. However, an institution that upholds religious values ​​is also needed which can equip students with Islamic values. This study aims, firstly, to describe the integration of the Islamic Religious Education curriculum with the Islamic boarding school curriculum at Sunan Kalijaga Ngunut Tulunggaung Islamic Vocational School. Second, to describe the implementation of the integration of the Islamic Religious Education curriculum with the Islamic boarding school curriculum at the Islamic Vocational School of Sunan Kalijaga Ngunut Tulungagung. The research approach used is qualitative research with descriptive research types. Methods of data collection using the method of observation, interviews and documentation. While the data analysis technique uses steps, namely data collection, data display, data reduction, conclusions. The validity of the data through triangulation and extending the observation. The results of this study are first, the Islamic Religious Education curriculum combines several lessons in Islamic boarding schools with PAI lessons in schools, namely learning the kitab kuning in the Hidayatul Mubtadi'in Ngunut Tulungagung Islamic boarding school. Second, in its implementation the curriculum uses a classical approach and an individual approach. Besides that, it adopts the typical learning methods of Islamic boarding schools, namely sorogan, lalaran, habituation, and uswah. Evaluation of learning is carried out daily by teachers at Islamic boarding schools and carried out by teachers at schools.
