Abstract

Learning activities are processes that not only involve teachers and students, but also involve learning materials, methods, media and other learning environments. To achieve student learning outcomes based on the competencies expected to have, it must be supported by a good learning process. For a good learning process to take place, it requires learning materials, methods, and up-to-date learning media in addition to the support of competencies possessed by the teacher and student learning readiness. Thus, the teacher is required to be more creative and innovative especially in arranging learning materials, methods, and learning media into the learning model appropriately so that students can be expected to succeed, especially in the formation of life skills of students who are based on the surrounding environment. Given the role of learning models in determining the success of student learning, action research has been carried out to find out (a) improvement in PAI learning achievement by applying collaborative learning models to students of Class X IPA-1 at SMAN 1 Hu'u academic year 2018/2019; and (b) the influence of the collaboration learning model on PAI learning motivation in class X science-1 students of SMAN 1 Hu’u academic year 2018/2019. To obtain the required data, the Islamic Religious Study Learning activities will be carried out by applying a collaborative learning model to students of Class X Science-1 of SMAN 1 Hu'u Academic Year 2018/2019. Learning activities take place in 3 (three) cycles, and each cycle consists of the plan stage, activities and observations, reflections, and revisions. Learning achievement data is obtained through the results of formative tests, while learning motivation data are collected using observation sheets of learning activities. based on the results of data analysis, it was found that student learning achievement had increased from cycle I to cycle III, namely, cycle I (73.17%), cycle II (82.93%), cycle III (95.12%). Thus, it can be concluded that the use of collaborative learning models can have a positive effect on PAI students' achievement and motivation for Class X Science 1 at SMAN 1 Hu’u Academic Year 2018/2019. As an implication, the collaborative learning model can be used as one of the alternative learning models in PAI learning.
