PERAN KEPALA MADRASAH SEBAGAI LEADER DALAM MENINGKATKAN KOMPETENSI GURU

Abstract

ABSTRAK

Pendidikan agama merupakan salah satu bidang studi yang dimasukkan dalam setiap kurikulum formal dan tingkat dasar hingga perguruan tinggi di Indonesia. Hal ini sejalan dengan tujuan pendidikan nasional yang terdapat dalam Undang-undang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional tahun 2006 pasal 3 yang berbunyi : Pendidikan Nasional berfungsi mengembangkan kemampuan dan membentuk watak serta peradaban bangsa yang bermanfaat dalam rangka mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa, bertujuan untuk berkembangnya potensi peserta didik agar menjadi manusia yang ber iman dan bertaqwa kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, berakhlak mulia, sehat, berilmu, cakap, kreatif, mandiri, dan menjadi warga Negara yang demokratis serta bertanggung jawab. Untuk mewujudkan hal tersebut maka peran Kepala madrasah sebagai top leader merupakan salah satu komponen terpenting yang menentukan tercapainya tujuan pendidikan di sekolah. Dengan demikian kepala madrasah yang berhasil apabila ia memahami keberadaan sekolah sebagai organisasi yang kompleks dan unik, serta mampu melaksanakan peranan kepala madrasah sebagai seorang yang diberi tanggungjawab untuk memimpin sekolah. Maka dalam penelitian ini membahas bagaimana peran kepala madrasah sebagai leader dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik, kompetensi kepribadian, kompetensi sosial, dan kompetensi profesional guru.

ABSTRACT

Religious education is one of the fields of study included in every formal curriculum and elementary to tertiary level in Indonesia. This is in line with the objectives of national education contained in the National Education System Law of 2006 article 3 which reads: National education functions to develop abilities and form the character and civilization of a nation that is useful in order to educate the nation's life, aims to develop the potential of students to become human beings who have faith and devotion to God Almighty, have noble character, are healthy, knowledgeable, capable, creative, independent, and become democratic and responsible citizens. To realize this, the role of the madrasah head as a top leader is one of the most important components that determine the achievement of educational goals in schools. Thus, the madrasah head is successful if he understands the existence of the school as a complex and unique organization, and is able to carry out the role of the madrasah head as a person who is given the responsibility to lead the school. So this study discusses how the role of the madrasah principal as a leader in improving pedagogical competence, personality competence, social competence, and professional competence of teachers.
