Abstract

The story of the slaughter of Prophet Isma’il by Prophet Ibrahim at the command of Allah SWT contained in surah as-Shaffat can be seen from various perspectives, one of which is education. Prophet Ibrahim can be seen as the subject of education and Prophet Ismail as the object of education. Basic Actions of educational subjects and educational objects can be analyzed with psychology theories developed by experts, such as Sigmund Freud by the psychoanalytic theory and Alfred Alder by the individual psychology theory. Sigmund Freud believed that the dynamics of this personality were made possible by the presence of energy within that personality. He called this energy psychic energy, obtained from physiological energy that comes from food. In contrast to Freud, Alfred Adler, in his psychology theory, saw a very important element in influencing the mind or orientation of human life, namely the teleological aspect. It means that human life is influenced by various ideals or thoughts which are purely pseudo, there is no reality or counterpart in the world of reality.
