Manajemen Pendidikan Santri Berbasis Budaya Pesantren Untuk Menghadapi Era Kecerdasan Artifisial Di Raden Paku Trenggalek

Abstract

The advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming how students acquire information, learn, and interact with sources of knowledge. Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) face the challenge of responding to these developments without compromising the culture and Islamic educational values ​​that define their core identity. This article aims to formulate a conceptual framework for managing santri (student) education based on pesantren culture to navigate the era of artificial intelligence, specifically within the context of the modern Islamic boarding school Raden Paku Trenggalek. The article is structured based on a qualitative research design rooted in a constructivist paradigm. The study positions pesantren culture as the educational foundation, while AI is viewed as a supporting tool that must be utilized critically, ethically, and with a focus on educational objectives. Conceptual analysis indicates that integrating pesantren culture with AI requires management processes encompassing the planning, organizing, implementation, supervision, and evaluation of technology use in santri education. This framework aims to strike a balance between character and moral development and the cultivation of digital competencies. Conceptually, a pesantren culture-based management approach offers a way to preserve the institution's identity while enhancing the students' adaptability to global technological changes. This framework requires further validation and refinement through field research at the modern Islamic boarding school Raden Paku Trenggalek.
