Educational institutions are part of the trilogy of education. Therefore, its existence becomes the main thing in the educational process. The design of educational institutions capable of producing a generation of character must be in accordance with the needs of society and the flow of information technology. This is where the importance of the ability of educational institutions, such as Islamic educational institutions, to be able to survive in the face of an era of increasingly rapid change. There are many reasons why Islamic educational institutions make various institutional changes. There are several theories of change management that can be used as a basis for seeing how this discourse develops, such as the Force-Field theory pioneered by Kurt Lewin, the Motivation theory of Beckhard and Harris, Beer's theory of managerial change processes, Alfa, Betta and Gamma theory of change. From this existing theory, at least according to Muhaimin, it is based on a normative-theological basis, a philosophical basis and a historical basis.
