Abstract
This article attempts to map the dynamics of religious fatwas from both of the religious social organizations in Indonesia, there are MUI and LBM PWNU East Java in order to responding the covid-19 pandemic phenomenon, which has an impact on the socio-cultural of the Indonesian transformation. The dynamic of fatwas both of the religious social organizations proves that Islamic law is a social change transformation, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. The role of religion in order to responding the health issues and socio-cultural transformation can be seen through the religious social organizations activisme, one of which is in the fatwa decision form of the MUI and LBM PWNU organizations regarding the response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The role of religion through the fatwas has functions that first, to support the government policies regarding the response and the control of the covid-19 spreading; Second, to reinforce the new values ​​and the new norms; third, the criticism function toward the people's behavior; fourth, as a behavior guide. The socio-cultural transformation has implications also to the urgency of the Islamic religious education curriculum development. In the context of the Islamic religious education curriculum development, the idea of ​​Jasser Auda's system theory as an approach in developing of the Islamic religious education curriculum. This effort is part of the roles and responsibilities of Islamic education institutions in providing the solutions for Indonesia from the health, social and economic crisis due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
