JURNAL SEJARAH DAULAH MUGHAL DI INDIA
SEJARAH PERADABAN ISLAM DUNIA
Abstract
The Mughal Empire was one of the greatest empires in Indian history, ruling over much of South Asia between the 16th and 18th centuries. At its zenith, the empire not only expanded its territory but also fostered significant advancements in culture, art, and architecture. The Mughals enriched Islamic civilization through political power, economic stability, and cultural progress—particularly in the realms of art and architecture. However, the empire eventually experienced decline and collapse, driven by power struggles, Aurangzeb’s policies (which backfired and destabilized the political order), Hindu uprisings, and invasions by external powers. Furthermore, the empire's vast size created opportunities for disintegration, exacerbated by the poor communication systems of the era.
