ARAH BARU PENDIDIKAN ISLAM DI INDONESIA SEBAGAI UPAYA KELUAR DARI PERSIMPANGAN JALAN

Abstract

Development of Islamic education by macro view in one side shows potency of Islamic education flexibility appropriate of demands of the times. But, in other side this development makes challenge in very complex micro level. Every institutional form has its own problem that must be handle specifically. This, often exacerbated by politic education of a regime that take side to kind of certain education institution. Policy of development of Islamic education in the future must be oriented to primacy target because competition challenge in local area and global area increase quickly. Diversificative scheme of Islamic education institution is basic value that can be developed to increase progress of Islamic education totally. This scheme must be followed by fair policy pattern and not discriminatory by giving a balance chance and supporting to all education institution in the community. Establishment of fair policy becomes very important because of politic change in Indonesia nowadays. Democratization effort looks like becomes one of changing target by divide in balance between government role and people role, also distribute authority of central government to local government. This trend can be looked as a momentum to formulate policy of Islamic education development that more equitable as part of national education.
