NILAI-NILAI PENDIDIKAN ISLAM DALAM PAGELARAN WAYANG KULIT PERSPEKTIF KI SURONO

Abstract

Abstract: Puppet show, includes missionary endeavor and Islamic value education both for teacher, students and their relationship. This article describes the value education included in the puppet show and Surono as the puppeteer (dhalang). The design of this research is qualitative descriptive with Surono, his thoughts and his masterpiece as its object. The research instruments inserted interview as primary data then observation and documentation as the secondary data. In anlysing the data, the researcher used discourse and comparative analysis. The research result is the value education based on Ki Surono are everything that leads to kindness, such as sincerity, patience, perseverance, obedience, honesty, compliance and exemplary. The teachers are required to possess characteristic as universe nature. For example surya (sun), rembulan (moon), kartika (star), mendung (sky), angin (air), banyu (water), geni (fire) and bumi (land). There is no difference of view between Ki Surono and Islamic education. Both of them are complementary because the main purpose of the Islamic education is the establishment etics, moral and noble minds to have balanced act in life both of them teacher, students and their relationship.
