THE EFFECTIVENESS OF SERIES PICTURES TO THE WRITING NARRATIVE ACHIEVEMENT OF SECOND GRADE STUDENTS OF MADRASAH ALIYAH URWATUL WUTSQO BULUREJO DIWEK JOMBANG IN ACADEMIC YEAR OF 2012/2013

Abstract
This study aims to know the influence of series pictures to the students writing narrative achievement. The design of the study was quasi-experimental with non-randomized pretest-posttest experiment and control group. The samples of this study were taken from the population of the second grade students of MA Urwatul Wutsqo Bulurejo Diwek Jombang in academic year of 2012/2013. Using t-test as instrument, the analysis of the posttest showed a t-value of 0,16 is lower than the t table (2,021). This is not significant at the level of significance of 0,05 one-tailed (with df 46). It is concluded that series pictures is not effective in increasing students’ writing narrative achievement.
