OPTIMALISASI MEDIA MASSA SEBAGAI SUMBER BELAJAR MELALUI DISKUSI PADA MUSYAWARAH GURU MATA PELAJARAN SEKOLAH
Abstrak
Education in this era should be able to take advantage of the growing role of the mass media either electronic or non-electronic one. There are many teachers, however have not been able to implement the mass media. This article is the school action research result conducted at SMPN 2 Kabuh Jombang in academic year of 2014/2015 to improve the teachers ability in optimizing the role of the mass media as a learning resource. This research was done in two cycles, each cycle was conducted two or three meetings. The respondens were 30 teachers of SMPN 2 Kabuh Jombang. The mean of affective score from discussion was 79,38 (enough category), in the first cycle and 84,88 (good category) in the second cycle. Meanwhile the learning scenarios mean score of first cycle was 78,75 (enough) and the scond cycle was 82,50 (good). The mean score of learning implementation of the first cycle was 78,33 (enough) and 82,08 (good) in the second cycle. The research result showed that the mean score of each component observed has increased. It can be concluded that coaching and guidance through subject school teachers conference (MGMPS) can increase teachers ability in utilizing mass media as learning resources.
