PERAN KEPALA SEKOLAH DALAM IMPLEMENTASI MANAJEMEN PENINGKATAN MUTU BERBASIS SEKOLAH DI MTs MIFTAHUN NAJAH KARANGLO MOJOWARNO JOMBANG
Abstrak
Abstract: This article discusses about the implementation of school based management pricipals’ perpective at MTs Miftahun Najah Karanglo Mojowarno Jombang. It is a field research result using qualitative design. Such instrumens to collect the data were interview, observation, documentation and the review of theoretical and relevant literature. The data was analysed sustainably such as data collection, classification, reduction, data display and verification. The data then, analysed using descriptive qualitative. The result shows that MTs Miftahun Najah has implemented school based manangement through idiogrphic approach (a tendency to specify), which is the school allows many ways to implement school based manangement, otherwise, the school doesn’t use nomothecic approach which has tendency to generalize especially for schools. The school principal role in this case is as an educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, leader, innovator and motivator. The result also shows that there is greater rights devolution from government in implementing school based management to the school principal of MTs Miftahun Najah, especially in planning, implementing and evaluating. In addition, school desire to improve its image and the committee who are more active are other supporting factors of this implementation.
