Penerapan Metode Game Based Learning untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Siswa Kelas 3 pada Mata Pelajaran PAI di SDN Kalangsari V
Abstract
The quality of education in Indonesia still faces various challenges, one of which is the low motivation of students to learn. Observations in class 3 of SDN Kalangsari V show that students tend to have low motivation to learn and engage in unproductive activities during the learning process. To overcome these problems, this study examines the application of the Game-Based learning (GBL) method to improve the motivation of students to learn in Islamic religious education (PAI) subjects. This study uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with research subjects of 24 students in class 3 at SDN Kalangsari V. The research was carried out in two cycles, each consisting of the planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The instruments used include observation sheets of student learning activities. In cycle I, the results of the observation showed that 72.83% of students were well included in the active category but it emphasized the importance of using innovative and interactive teaching methods to create a fun learning environment that motivates students to be more active in the learning process. There are still some aspects whose percentages are not optimal. In cycle II, after making improvements based on the reflection of cycle II, student learning motivation increased to 83.5%. The results of the study show that the application of GBL is practical in learning. Student learning motivation. All aspects of learning motivation, including enthusiasm, completing assignments correctly, the ability to Analyze problems, choosing the best solution, exchanging ideas, and interest in learning, experienced a significant increase from cycle Il to cycle IlIl. Thus, GBL can be an excellent alternative learning method to improve student learning motivation at SDN Kalangsaril V. This study emphasizes the importance of using innovative and intelligent teaching methods to create a fun learning environment that motivates students to learn more actively in the learning process.
