Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the role of educational institutions in building synergistic relationships with the community in improving the quality of education at MI Bahrul Ulum. The research method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method. The data collection technique used was observation and interviews. From the results of the observations that have been made, confirmation is then carried out with educational institutions in order to test the veracity of the information that has been obtained. The data analysis technique was carried out using descriptive analysis techniques. The results of the research show that the role of the MI Bahrul Ulum educational institution in building synergistic relationships with the community includes holding discussion activities with the community in it or surrounding areas in order to create activities aimed at introducing and providing understanding regarding Islamic religious education. In this case, community participation is built by including positive activities that involve residents so that residents also take part in helping in the educational environment. The challenges faced include the existence of groups of people who do not work much, generally when helping in the implementation of their education they are more likely to expect material rewards.
