Peningkatan rasa nasionalisme anggota PASMA dalam rutinitas pengibaran bendera di SMAN 4 Kota Pasuruan
Abstract
This research aims to increase the sense of nationalism of PASMA members in their flag-raising routine at SMAN 4 Pasuruan City. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this research involved in-depth interviews and participant observation of PASMA members. The results of the research show that regular flag-raising activities have succeeded in fostering a sense of nationalism among PASMA members. Active participation in the flag ceremony provides an opportunity for students to better understand the history of the nation’s struggle, the values of Pancasila, and the importance of maintaining the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia. Apart from that, this activity also trains discipline, responsibility, teamwork and a sense of belonging to the school and country. Enthusiasm and a high sense of pride can be seen in PASMA members who are active in flag-raising activities, showing that this activity has become part of their identity. This research provides important implications for the development of character education programs in schools, where flag-raising can be integrated into the curriculum as a way to instill national values in students.
