DAMPAK PENERAPAN REWARD DAN PUNISHMENT TERHADAP KETERTIBAN SISWA DI MADRASAH ALIYAH HIDAYATUL QOMARIYAH KOTA BENGKULU
Abstract
Education plays an important role in shaping students' character and discipline. One of the strategies used to create order is the application of rewards and punishments. Rewards are given to students who behave well, while punishment is applied to those who violate school rules. This research aims to analyze the application of reward and punishment at Madrasah Aliyah Hidayatul Qomariyah, Bengkulu City, as well as its impact on student motivation and discipline. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a survey, which involves questionnaires and observations to collect data from students and teachers. The research results show that giving rewards can increase student motivation and discipline, while punishment carried out educationally can suppress disciplinary behavior. However, inappropriate application of rewards and punishments can have negative effects. Therefore, it is important for schools to consider students' psychological factors and the context of application in managing reward and punishment systems.
