Memberdayakan Ekonomi Ummat Melalui Wakaf Uang di BMT Mandiri Sejahtera Karangcangkring Jawa Timur

Abstract

BMT (Baitul Maal Wat Tamwil) is a microfinance institution that is operated on the principle of profit sharing/sharia by developing micro and small businesses, in order to elevate the degree and dignity and defend the interests of the poor. Baitul Maal also accepts deposits of Zakat, waqf, infaq and sadaqah funds and optimizes their distribution in accordance with regulations and mandates. The concept of cash waqf (money) waqf has enormous potential to be explored and developed with an emphasis on how the potential of cash waqf can be an alternative solution in order to empower the ummah's economy through BMT Mandiri Sejahtera Karangcangkring, East Java.
