Pengembangan Madrasah Unggul di Pondok Pesantren
Abstract
PENGEMBANGAN MADRASAH UNGGULAN DI PONDOK PESANTREN Oleh: Weli Arjuna Wiwaha, M.Pd.I[1] Abstrak Kata kunci: Pengembangan, Madrasah Unggulan. Perkembangan lembaga pendidikan semakin pesat. Alasan membuat lembaga pendidikan bermacam-macam, ada yang hanya sekedar memenuhi hajat pendidikan anak bangsa, ada yang sebagai ladang bisnis, ada juga yang prihatin terhadap pendidikan di Indonesia yang masih terbelakang. Pondok pesantren masih dikenal sebagai lembaga pendidikan pilihan akhir dari masyarakat, atau masih dianggap sebagai lembaga tempat anak-anak “nakal†(buangan) dan lain sebagainya. Namun madrasah di pondok pesantren terus berjuang membuang anggapan tersebut. Satu persatu madrasah mulai berbenah untuk menjadi madrasah yang unggul dengan berbagai variannya. Penelitian dilakukan dengan kajian literature dari konsep-konsep sekolah unggul yang dicetuskan oleh lembaga-lembaga pendidikan di dunia. Keberhasilan-keberhasilan mereka dimungkinkan dapat diterapkan di Indonesia, terutama madrasah-madrasah yang sudah mulai berkembang saat ini. Hasil kajian yang didapatkan secara teoritik adalah, madrasah dapat dikembangkan menjadi madrasah unggul bila mengembangkan dan menerapkan visi untuk unggul, kepemimpinan yang memberi contoh, retrukturisasi lingkungan organisasi sesuai irama perubahan zaman, kolaborasi dan kolegialitas, membangun rasa saling percaya, dan memperluas jaringan sosial capital.
