GERAKAN PEREMPUAN; ANTARA KEPENTINGAN PEREMPUAN DAN POLITIK GENDER
Abstract
Dalam konteks pembangunan, isu-isu perempuan telah banyak diperbincangkan seperti diskriminasi upah buruh, penganiayaan para TKW, pemerkosaan dan berbagai tindak kriminal terhadap perempuan banyak terjadi di sekeliling kita. Dalam situasi semacam itu berkembang berbagai gagasan tentang kemajuan perempuan. Pada perkembangan mutakhir gagalnya quota yang menghendaki diakomodirnya kepentingan perempuan dalam bernegara yang diwujudkan dalam representasi perempuan (30 %) di pemerintahan menjadi perkembangan yang menarik untuk dianalisis. Dalam rangka itulah tulisan ini dimunculkan. Tulisan ini akan diklasifikasi dalam empat sub bahasan yaitu: pertama, perempuan dan akar kultural ketimpangan gender, bahasan ini dimaksud untuk memasuki wilayah bahasan inti agar ditemukan kejelasan sejarah terjadinya ketimpangan gender. Kedua, konstelasi gerakan perempuan di Indonesia, dimaksud untuk melakukan pemblegetan terhadap gerakan perempuan di Indonesia sehingga dapat ditemukan titik masalah kegagalan perjuangan quota.
