Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to find out whether the traditional game of lore/engklek is still in demand among children aged 5-6 years where now children prefer to use their gadgets. And also want to know what mathematics learning is obtained in this lore/engklek traditional game. The research method used in this study used qualitative research methods by observing 4 children and collecting data by observing and observing the results of observations to 4 children who were on Jl.Bambu Kuning V No.23 RT.8 /RW.3, West Cengkareng., Cengkareng District, West Jakarta City, carried out from 09.00 - 10.00 WIB. The results of this observational research on traditional games, all the children were very enthusiastic and happy when they found out that they would play this traditional game from Sungai Nanam Kenagarian, Gumanti Valley District, Solok, West Sumatra. they feel happy to play this lore/engklek traditional game because they have done this game before and really like it when they play this game, not children who refuse to be invited to play this game, but children really want to quickly play this lore/engklek traditional game.  Keywords: Early childhood, traditional games.
