Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Reward and Punishment Untuk Meningkatkatkan Motivasi Belajar Siswa Pada Mata Pelajaran PAI Kelas XII Di SMK Kartika Grati Pasuruan

Abstract

This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which aims to describe the application of reward and punishment learning models in increasing student motivation in PAI subjects at Kartika Grati Vocational School Pasuruan. This research is qualitative in nature by taking background in Kartika Grati Pasuruan Vocational School with 40 students consisting of 18 male students and 22 female students. Data collection is done by observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. While for the sequence of research activities include: 1) Planning, 2) Implementation, 3) Observation, 4) Reflection             Based on the results of the study, conclusions can be drawn, namely: 1) Reward model, in this model the things that are applied are social reformers, activity reinforcer and symbolic reinforcer. The punishment learning model that is applied is: preventive and repressive punishment theories. 2) The positive and negative impacts of implementing the reward and punishment learning model in increasing student learning motivation are a) The positive impact of the implementation of rewards is the increase in student enthusiasm in the implementation of teaching and learning activities. Students are better prepared to face the test, the classroom atmosphere is better, students pay more attention to the teacher while being taught, students also rejoice when they get the prize. B) The negative impact of the implementation of reward is that some students consider it a reward so when there is a reward they become lazy. There are students who are jealous and compete with students who get prizes. c) The positive impact of the application of punishment is that students are encouraged to be more disciplined so that student behavior becomes better. d) The negative impact of the application of punishment is to make some students become timid and shy.
