THE EFFECT PERFORMANCE OF THE SCHOOL COMMITTEE’S AS A ADVISORY AGENCY, SUPPORTING AGENCY, CONTROLLING AGENCY AND MEDIATOR AGENCY ON THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION SERVICES IN PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL IN PASURUAN

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is for knowing the performance of the school committee as the governing body, supporting agency, controlling agency and mediator agency on the quality of education services. this study explained the effect of the school committee’s performance on the quality of education services in public high school in Pasuruan. This study used the ex post facto type of quantitative approach with the total population of 518 that consist of the principle of schools, teachers and students. The data collection used questionnaire which consist of the school committee as the governing body, supporter, controller, and mediator variables and the quality of education services variables. The result of the study shown that the performance of the school committee has effected on (1) giving the suggestion in compiling RKAS (2) doing the meeting regularly to support the school policy (3) controlling, recording, and making an inventory of the needs of educational services in schools (4) participating in socializing the school policies and the school programs to the community, the school committee also facilitates various inputs and accommodate complaints against school policies.  Key words: performance of the school committee, advisory agency, supporting agency, controlling agency and mediator agency on the quality of education services
