Abstract

Halal certification in food is needed by consumers to guarantee that they do not consume or use products or services that are not halal so that their faith is maintained and calm in using the product. So it is the duty of the government to provide guarantees to consumers that the products or services circulating in the midst of society are truly halal. Halal labels themselves provide benefits for businesses such as increasing consumer confidence, reaching the global halal food market, increasing product marketability in markets and low-cost investments. Muslim consumers must be smart before buying a product or service for safety and security.
